Fractional CFO
Position Summary
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives
- Lead the development and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identify key trends, and present recommendations for improvement
- Establish and maintain effective risk management and compliance frameworks
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company has the necessary resources to meet its obligations
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Prepare accurate financial reports and presentations for the executive team
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards to ensure compliance
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company’s strategic plans
- Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify key performance indicators, assess financial health, and inform strategic decision-making
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- BS/BA required in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MBA is a plus
- At least 10 years of experience in financial leadership, Controller, and/or senior finance roles. CFO experience preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Previous experience in a small, family-owned manufacturing company is a plus
- Ability to make and implement crucial recommendations
- Strong knowledge of financial management practices and principles including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with market analysis methodologies to inform strategic decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information to a broad audience.
