The Manufacturing Process Engineer specializes in creating and implementing machining methods and processes, with the goal of minimizing cost while increasing productivity. This position improves overall machining processes through analysis and planning and works persistently to drive the flow or the manufacturing process to ensure quality parts are delivered on-time.

This position is NOT REMOTE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Creates process plans that clearly define process procedures
• Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
• Performs and improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
• Interfaces with customers and suppliers as needed regarding machining processes.
• Renders part models, as required, using 3D printing capabilities
• Designs, develops, and delivers GD&T training to machinists as needed
• Supports sales team by creating process plans and operation sheets as requested
• Possesses the ability to effectively troubleshoot machining process issues (Cutting tools, fixtures, programs, etc.)
• Prepares internal company drawings and provides data to aid in the manufacturing process of the customers product
• Reviews customer purchase order changes, drawings, and specification changes, for incorporation and cost impact.
• Performs PFMEAs
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree or 2-5 years of equivalent work experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes as attained through experience in a machining facility

• Computer proficient; confident using data analysis programs and Microsoft Suite
• Utilizes CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and CAM (e.g., MasterCam) software a major plus
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and abilities, maintaining professional interaction with internal and external customers

• Master problem solver familiar with root cause analysis techniques
• Ability to act and think analytically with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to correctly read and interpret technical data
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques with ability to design robust processes to eliminate waste
